 Norm Henderson is an ex-hockey player who was banned from hockey for life for gambling and tax evasion. Now he must do five years of community service as a social worker, or go to prison. His co-workers are a collection of burn-outs, and basically inept losers, with one exception, Laurie, who ends up spending a lot of time trying to bail out Norm.

 

 Norm MacDonald stars as Norm Henderson, a disgraced former NHL hockey player who gets into trouble with the law for gambling and tax evasion. To avoid jail time, Norm must perform several years of community service as a full-time social worker. Norm doesn’t really care about the criminals, prostitutes, and addicts that he counsels. It gives him plenty of opportunities to use his favorite phrase, “crack whore”.
