The indirect talks between the US and Iran in Oman consisted of negotiating the negotiations rather then the specific issues.

The delegations, led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and the US president’s special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, started earlier in the day in Oman's capital city of Muscat, with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi acting as an intermediary.

US delegation did meet the Iranian delegation face-to-face, which was a step-up, since it was not that way during the nuclear talks last year.

The Omani Foreign Minister was present at the meeting.

The US presented a list of its demands.

Iran presented its demands to the US delegation.

Quite bluntly, the Iranian foreign minister passed a message to Washington declaring that Iran will not take part in talks around uranium enrichment conducted on Iranian territory.  They won't even discuss it!

They agreed to meet again, but my "spidey-sense" is asking "What's the point?"   They have closed the door on even talking about Uranium Enrichment.  We already know they have no intentions to even discuss their conventional Ballistic Missile program.

My sense is - and this is just my personal opinion, I DO NOT have any intel info which backs this up -- but my sense is that the U.S. will declare the talks a complete failure and say there is no point in continuing to talk, and will then attack.

Maybe tonight.
